Majorca is the largest island in Spain. Aside from the fact that the island is stunning the inhabitants are also friendly. I do not think anyone can question making cheap holidays to Majorca when next you are going on holidays. Majorca, located in the Mediterranean is a wonderful place to visit always for anyone on holidays. The climate is welcoming almost throughout the year. She has a Mediterranean climate; with mild as well as stormy winters with hot, bright summers.

I landed on the 12th of September at Palma International airport (Palma is the attractive capital of Majorca). The airport is very busy although I have been warned about this. They said airport alone received 22,832,865 passengers in 2008. I was greeted by the lovely designer shops in tree lined avenues; I had to make some shopping here before I went on to the island for my holidays.
It was more wonders and surprises when I got to the island. There were family resort spots all across the island. For a fact, these resorts can host you for as long as you want to stay in Majorca. The same night, I experienced the so much talked about excellent nightlife. There were lights all over the island and if you are not very certain you will think you are in Las Vegas.
What about the food? This I am sure you will get tired of because Majorca has over 2,400 restaurants. These restaurant ranges from small inns to big restaurants. Seafood is often imported so if you like edible fish, shell fish or roe you won't get staved of them. Besides that, Olives and almonds are also plentiful. Should you go on holidays to Majorca please try this food called sobrassada.
If you are tired of sitting at the beaches, you can trek through the mountains to get a whole view of the islands. There is this wonderful pretty village called Fornalutx-she is the secret of Majorca. Another of the lovely mountains is Alfabia Mountains. So, if you would be making holidays to Majorca you will be in for an out of the ordinary holidaying after all 6 million visitors could not be wrong. Enjoy your trip.
